Working for Charity
Wednesday evening, I headed to Cove on Castro to have a dinner meeting with the rest of the Team Be-cause Steering Committee. Post-ALC, people are usually pretty burned out and don’t want to talk much about the ride, but I wanted everyone to get together to recapture some of the ride “bubble” and to start to talk about our next steps for the team.
When that was done, we headed to 440 for a cocktail, although apparently the three of them already had gotten a head start on me!
Yesterday, Steve and I rode around all day doing stuff for the LGBTWI Square Dance Clubs’ booth for the Pride Celebration. Whew! The t-shirts look really great, and the booth is going to be nicely decorated!
Meanwhile, I’m trying to read this study put out by the RAND corporation about increasing participation in arts organizations to formulate some strategies and tactics to get more people interested and excited about Foggy City Dancers.
Today, I have two new clients, and a boatload of work to do tonight to finish readying for the Pride Booth. Whew!
