Albadger, Mike, John, and I went for Sunday Dinner to Brisas de Aculpulco. I had the Platanos Fritos, Frifoles y Crema, and Enchiladas de Camarones. I put this habañero salsa on my beans to eat with the plantains, and it was not anywhere near as hot as everyone else warned at the table. But the taste of was incredible.
Earlier, I had been on skype with my soldier correspondent, and I always feel good when I talk with him, because he’s very bright and sensitive, and we always have delightful conversations. I delight in helping to keep his spirits up and pass the time for him.
The day before, I had two back-to-back two hour clients, which ended up being really good. Soon as I was done with work, I had supper, came home and read my book.
As you all know, I’m doing a re-read of The Wheel of Time in anticipation of Book 12, Volume 1 – A Memory of Light this coming November. Right now I’m reading Book 5, The Fires of Heaven, which I think is my least favorite of the series, but still an intense read.
In other news, I’m still calling for people to help staff the booth the seven Bay Area LGBTQI Square Dance clubs are having at this year’s SF Pride Celebration. The float is going to totally rock. But if you want to volunteer, visit Foggy City Dancers’ Volunteer Page and sign up today!
