A Warm Evening

The warm night was full of lovers strolling through Union Square, the air heavy with moisture and redolent of jasmine and other perfumed flowers. I sat in the square, absorbed in my own thoughts, waiting for my erstwhile cub, Jason, to get off work.

We walked for a while, speaking of nothing important, the warm air holding us in its humid embrace.
