Seeking Closure

Still sad, but at getting better. Chatted with Jason this morning on Yahoo. He is starting to understand how I feel. Not that I am upset that he found the other guy, but how he mislead me about the situation. That understanding will go a long way to helping me close this chapter of my relationship with him, and let me be friends with him once he lives here.

Well, that’s progress, yes?

I worked out last night with Duke at the gym. It was shoulder day.

Who knew that breaking up with someone could make one so horny?

Sunrise over fog
Bedsheets tangled and damp
Happy birthday, love.

Sunrise over fog
Voluptuous bright billows
Abandon control!

Sunrise over fog
The dawn has taken so long
What’s left of the day?

Sunrise over fog
Vapors dissipate quickly
Revealing the heart.

Sunrise over fog
Smiling over morning grog,
The front of my face is wet for some reason.

Patience

What a lovely day. I got my new sheets laundered to remove the sizing this morning and packed them up to bring down to my studio. I only bought four new sets of sheets yesterday, and I need 8 between today and next Wednesday when the laundry service brings my clean sheets, so I either have to wash these sheets one more time, or buy four more sets of sheets. The Mervyn’s didn’t have all-white like I wanted, though, so I bought Citadel Blue and Sage Green sheets, in 300 thread count cotton. They sure do get wrinkly!

Had three clients today, the third of whom just left. Spoke to Jason today on the telephone – who knows what’s going on with him? I know I sure don’t. He said to me “baby steps, baby steps.” I am not sure what that means.

Finally, I’m deciding if I want to go square dancing again tonight. My lungs are starting to dry out – the phlegm is very sticky and viscous, but I still have a teensy-tiny cough. Maybe one more night of deep rest will be good for me.

I spoke with sonoranbearKevin (sonoranbear) about a weekend getaway to Tucson to see him and Steve in a few weeks. He’ll know on Monday if the dates I proposed will work for him, or whether he’ll be in DC that weekend.

So, I wait with patience.

Naps and Chain Reactions

I have five hours of bodywork planned today in three sessions. Fortunately, I have two hours between the first two sessions and the third session, so I’ll be able to take a nap. I am slowly but surely getting my strength back from this dratted cold.

In other news, I went square dancing last night at Eureka Valley Rec Center with Midnight Squares for Advanced-level dancing with squaredancingGary Young (squaredancing) and lggriffithslggriffiths calling. I was only able to dance three tips before I ran out of steam and had to sit out, which meant that the rest of the dancers all had to dance every tip since I couldn’t dance anymore and two other dancers left early. The two of them call very interesting and fun choreography.

Sheets and Stuff

bigjohnsfBig John in San Francisco and I went to Mervyn’s today. I needed to buy more sheets, and he wanted to get some socks. Afterward, we went and “got a rice plate” on Clement Street and ate by Stow Lake, and finally hit up Trader Joe’s for some grocery shopping.

I really need 8 sets of sheets between today and next Wednesday when the laundry service will return the sheets they picked up today. I bought four sets today, and will probably wash them all myself once before I send them off to the laundry service. Or maybe I’ll just go back and buy four more sets sometime this weekend.

At least they’re tax deductible!

Professional Listening

Today I had a client. That went as well as could be expected, for a client who hadn’t been here in well over a year. He forgot how to receive, and it was a frustrating session. I’ll call him tomorrow, though, and talk to him about it.

In other news, I wish that this stupid new boyfriend of Jason’s would stop messaging me on Daddyhunt telling me how sorry he is that things didn’t work out between Jason and me. LIke I said to him, it’s none of his business what went on between Jason and me, so please leave me alone. Well, easy enough – I just deleted my Daddyhunt profile anyway.

I called Eric to see if he wanted to hang out, but he’s staying in tonight, and I decided to come home and rest more, too. This cold is slowly going away, but relaxing more will help make it better.

Also today, while I was crossing the street, I saw this therapist I know and I asked him if he was taking on clients. I feel like I need a professional listener to help me sort things out for a little while. He gave me his card and I told him I’d be calling him.

Dukehad to work today or I’d have tried to go to a movie with him. Well, I did ask him, but he was at work and didn’t get the messages.

Staying in and resting is a better option, anyway.

The Tale of the Ink

I did something today that I hadn’t been financially able to do in almost four years: I called my tattoo artist to make an appointment to start-up again on the backpiece. Her receptionist told me that they were booking April appointments, and that there was a waiting list, but that they’d be getting back to me within a week to set up an appointment.

I plan on getting the tattoo’s sky finished this year!

Seeking Serenity Where It’s To Be Found

Jason missed his flight back to Wyoming yesterday, so imagine my surprise when I was having a cocktail at The Edge yesterday afternoon when he walked up to me and started talking to me. Theoretically, his flight back to Wyoming was this morning at 06:00.

Now, admittedly, part of the reason I went there was to see this new guy, who is an Edge regular in the way that the old guys who sit down at Bearbears are, too. Every time I have ever been there, he’s been there, and you all know, gentle readers, how seldom I am there. Heck, glovercomMs. Glover(com) even greeted me yesterday by asking, “What are you doing here, sweetie? This isn’t your home bar.”

Anyway, I won’t go into the details of the conversation with Jason, but suffice to say that when he moves here, he and I probably won’t see much of each other, although I’m sure we’ll run into each other from time to time.

Afterward, I called my friend, Eric the Nurse, up and we met at Sweet Inspirations so I could cry over some orange juice while he ate some sort of dessert and coffee. While I was regaling him with my witticisms and tales of derring-do with Jason, two of the massage therapists who were on the AIDS/LifeCycle Massage Team last year walked by, separately. As each was walking by, I knocked on the window and invited them inside to chat with Eric and I for a little while. I think that I might have convinced them both to sign up again.

Speaking of which, the captain of the massage team called me this past Saturday while I was bed-ridden and asked me if I’d do massage again this year, and I said yes. The bike repair is going to cost me some serious money – more than I can shell out right now, so instead I decided to do something I know I can already be good at and still make a contribution. Yeah, I know, it could be seen as giving in to fear, but it’s also doing the best I have with what I’ve got.

And with that, I seek serenity with the situation with Jason.
