I went to the market with Plumpy today and bought a roaster chicken and other groceries. I just stuck it, some white sweet potatoes, an onion, 6 whole cloves of garlic, a pint of button mushrooms, a thinly sliced fennel bulb, a can of garbanzo beans, a big can of diced tomatoes, two cans of coconut milk and a bunch of garam masala into the crock pot on high. Hopefully, it’ll be done in a few hours.

Did You Feel It?
The Recent Earthquake map isn’t showing anything, but I could swear that we just had an earthquake.
[EDIT: Must have been indigestion.]
Team Bear Beer Bust
Holy Crap, what a fun afternoon! Jon Levy and I earned nearly $200 for Team Bear giving chair massage. We sold a bunch of raffle tickets, hot dogs, and a huge number of beer bust cups!
After expenses, this will have been Team Bear’s most successful fun raiser yet! I’ll be announcing the numbers just as soon as I know the final tally.
Thanks to everyone!
Team Bear Beer Bust Today!
Come to the Eagle Tavern today from 3pm to 6pm for the first of many AIDS/Lifecycle Team Bear fund raisers!
Massage-A-Thon – Jon Levy and I will have our massage chairs giving massage for donations!
Bootblack – Andrew “Bootpup” Johnson will be shining boots!
Raffle – I’m raffling off two two-hour massage sessions!
Hot Dogs and More!
Donate to my AIDS/LifeCycle Fundraising efforts!
Just so we’re clear:
Yes, even if I think you’re hot, no, I don’t have any time to do spur of the moment sex dates. If you’re coming in for a weekend and want to get together, I need to know at least a few days in advance.
As if I were just sitting around with nothing to do at all except wait for randoms to invite me for sex! Sheesh!
RIP – Benazir Bhutto, 1953 – 2007
I remember when Benazir Bhutto was first elected to the Prime Ministership in Pakistan, and remember thinking what a cool name she had – how alliterative and exotic it sounded. And so charismatic and beautiful a woman she was. Even then I knew just how extraordinary the election of a woman to that post in Pakistan was.
In all of the television appearances I ever saw of her, one thing always came through – a powerful determination and compassion for the people of her homeland to make things better for them.
I feel a profound sadness for the loss of this amazing woman, and compassion for the Pakistani people who are now going through even more trying times at this loss.
Meanwhile, the New York Times has an audio-visual presentation of the last moments of her life, in photographs and narration by the photographer.

She had an orchid named after her, which seems fitting somehow.
No Fiesta for Me
I decided this afternoon that I am not going to be attending 2008’s Fiesta de Los Osos in Tucson this coming January. My biggest priority for the coming next several months is saving up money to help Jason move out here from Wyoming, and to help get more out of some of my old debts.
kd lang’s New Album, “Watershed”
This is the first single, “I Dream of Spring,” from the album, which will be released in February 2008.
She’s coming here to San Francisco in March, performing at the Palace of Fine Arts… Anyone want to go?

Mar: 21 more days before graduation.
Apr: Both of my Saturday clients bailed on me, although they followed my cancellation policy guidelines, so I’m not really unhappy.

Jun: Thursday: two massage clients (60 and 180 minutes), then rushed off to The Cove to have dinner with some Foggy Citizens to discuss our upcoming classes and how we are going to structure them.
Jul: Happy Canada Day!
Aug: OK, the truck is packed up, now it’s time to shower and head to my office to get my table and sheets, then Lazy Bear Awaits!
Sep: I went to see Jim (poohbearjim) and Ray (profkampf) on Saturday to visit them.
Oct: Wow, I’m home again. What an incredible four days in Wyoming.
Nov: Last night’s Trash Film Orgy’s Halloween show in Sacramento was spectacular!
Dec: A great time was had by all at Ugly, the birthday party for BoyShapedBox.
The amazing thing about this meme was the process of going back and reviewing the older posts for this year. I spent some small amount of time reminiscing about this year, all the good and bad and in-between. I encourage you all to do it and enjoy your 2007 nostalgia.
Exchange the Boxes
| From 2007 12 26 – … |
The Inter-club Holiday Social, “Exchange the Boxes,” tonight at the Eureka Valley Recreation Center was a smashing success. Thanks to all the clubs, and especially to
Big John in San Francisco for all his hard work in organizing it!
