I’m gonna take you down!

Last night’s Trash Film Orgy’s Halloween show in Sacramento was spectacular! We did a live version of “Dead Side Story” that was much more ambitious than anything we’ve attempted before. And the secret movie was Tom Savini’s remake of Night of the Living Dead – and seeing it on the big screen really brought to me just what a fantastic movie this remake is.

I rode the train to Sacramento yesterday, checked in to my motel room, showered and got to the theater right on time to start rehearsals. For the first run-through, I stayed down on the floor with Darin and we talked about how some of the choreography and how he wanted it lit. For the second run-through, I was up in the booth, brainstorming, and the third time through, editing those ideas into a coherent lighting script. I needed one more time through it, but we didn’t have enough time for that, so I just visualized what I intended to do, and went down to the green room to get on my makeup.

My original plan was to be a zombie wrestler, but putting that much make-up on would have been timeconsuming, so instead I went for the bloodied face, and I smacked myself in the face a few times with a bloody hand to simulate the spatter pattern that might result from a battle.

My buddy, Amy, gave me a ride back to the motel, and I crashed out. Woke up this morning, showered, got breakfast, then rode the rails back to the train station, hopped the train back into town.

My new online scheduler is working pretty gosh darned well. Tuesday, a woman from Australia booked a session with me for today. She flew in, got to her hotel, and came over for the massage. I worked on her, and she left. The only thing I neglected to ask her, which I will remedy, is where she heard about me. Obviously online, but we didn’t talk on the phone at all. She just booked the session, and paid for it all online. At first, I was a little creeped out by that, thinking it might have a been a spam-bot, so I wrote to her to make sure she knew I was in San Francisco, etc. She replied that she was coming to town for business, and wanted a massage.

The new gift certificates are selling well, too. There are 5 holiday designs and one birthday design, and they come with a matching envelope and a fun gold bubble box (think old-style McDonald’s apple pie box) within which to place your gift.

Hmm, what else?

My sweet Jason is in Georgia visiting his family. I miss him terribly.
