Jim (poohbearjim) and Ray (profkampf), please get in contact with Ray.
Firstly I want to thank everyone who has sent warm wishes, hugs, thoughts and prayers our way. That has been very kind of you all.
But I have a problem I am having a very difficult time dealing with:Jim’s condition is very bad. The Dr.s don’t have much hope past two or three months.
Where Jim is currently living is tricky. His parents want to be here of course and so do I, and Jim’s roommate Ed has been wonderful through out this whole situation – however I feel we simply can not impose anymore on his good nature of ‘staying away’ from his own home.The original idea was that Jim could move to LA – into my apartment or we would get an apartment down there for a short term – and his parents from Vegas could be there very easily. Jim condition, however have made that sort of move unwise. So we need to stay up here in SF, but we still need to move to a new place.
Today I have been searching for a furnished two bedroom apt with a short-term lease. I figured a corporate apt would be fine, however they are not as easy to come by as one would hope. I would love to find some sort of vacation house on the beach – and I thought I had one, but the owner wanted a 9month lease minimum. What I need is a clean resort type place that will be comfortable to Jim but also to his mom and dad – and to myself.
I am continuing to look but as I said – it is difficult.
I am open to any and all suggestions at this point – however I have already tried craigslist, Oakwood Apts Inc., and American Marketing Systems, Inc. for corporate stuff and very little has turned up.
This has to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do – find a place for my lover to end this battle.
