I had an acupuncture appointment today. My next door neighbor in my office building is an acupuncturist, and she suggested that we do a trade of services, so I showed up for my first appointment with her. We did a fairly thorough intake, then discussed my weight goals, nutrition, and then did the treatment. Since my lower back is fairly chronically in some pain, she did a treatment along the governing vessel, as well as several other tsubo points. She put in about two dozen needles and then left the room, while I listened to some classical guitar on her stereo. 30 minutes later, she came back in and removed the needles, then I got up off the table and she re-examined my SI joint, and found that the left one had become much more mobile, where before it wasn’t very mobile at all. I feel much better now.
I’m going to give her a massage in July when her partner is on vacation. I’m looking forward to it!
On the other hand, I forgot to put an appointment in my book that I had booked with a client last week – doh! So, while I was being needled, he was standing outside my office door wondering where I was. Craptacular.
