Daddies on Edge

by Paul Brown on 28 April 2007

I worked on my first couple of clients from the the building yesterday, a little chair massage party for three ladies who like to get together for a potluck. I think that at least one of them will become a regular table client. Hooray! After the massages, the invited me to come and eat and chat with them, so I had a little bit of Thai food and a piece of apple pie with ice cream. This was a perfect way to cap off my work week.

Decided that it was time to head out to the Happy Hour at l’Edge (don’t jump!). Over the course of the week, I’d been chatting with this fellow in town from Houston. He’d been here in town (well, Fremont) on business all week, and we had tried a couple of times to meet, but it wasn’t working out. I let him know that I was going to be at Edge/Daddies/Lone Star drinking beer and hanging out, and that if he had time, to stop by. Meanwhile, I met Kenny, and hung out with kitchenbeardSteven (kitchenbeard), rampagebearSteve (Rampagebear), gregorbehrGreg(orbehr), his lovely “wife,” Shannon, who is simply amazing, and all sorts of others. (note to self: remember to buy KB a cocktail next time you see him)

But, it wasn’t until I was standing in line buy Rampagebear his birthday Corona that it happened. Just turned around while I was waiting in line, and there was this beautiful man standing just a couple of people back. Tall, sandy brown hair, sexy eyes. He looked really familiar, and I did a double-take. “Hello, Paul,” he said to me as he extended his hand, “I’m John. You said you’d be here, so I decided to come by and meet you.” Knock me over with a feather. We shook hands (nice warm firm grip), and I asked him if he wanted a beer. “I’ll have a Stella.” I was drinking Bass Ale, which is the only thing worth drinking there, as the Guiness comes in cans or bottles, which seems like sacrilege.

I introduced him to the guys, and just started talking to him about this and that. He’s a couple inches shorter than me, but it’s nice to be able to look into a guys eyes without bending down. A couple of beers later, and he asked me about that other place I mentioned, Daddies, and I said, let’s go over there and I’ll show you.

We walked over to Daddies and bought the Fog’s beer bust. Had a couple of beers. Talked to Joe and John about the Scottish games, had my buddy, Todd, try to pawn off this lame-looking porn collection he won in the raffle on me (and everyone else). Took my shirt off to reveal the red singlet I was wearing underneath.

And then John kissed me, just a light brushing or our lips, then more intently. Wow, I had forgotten how wonderful it is to be kissed by a man who really knows what he’s doing. I could feel my pulse increasing.

But, John had to fly back to Houston, so we didn’t have a lot of time, so we went up to the top of Twin Peaks to show him the nighttime view of the bay. He’d never been up there before (well, never been in San Francisco proper before either), and I could tell he thought it beautiful, delightful. We kissed again, cuddled a bit. Then it was time for him to leave, so he gave me a ride home, and left for OAK to get back to Houston. I went upstairs and slept soundly, peacefully, and dreamed of sweet kisses.
