To Give Thanks

by Paul Brown on 21 November 2006

This weekend was the third anniversary of my move back to San Francisco. When I moved back here, I was pretty much flat broke and feeling like a failure. I had to move out of my fabulous apartment in downtown Sacramento, knew that I’d have to give my car back to the bank, and just generally felt like life was pretty bad.

Things have turned around to be sure, and for that I am thankful. I am still struggling some financially, but I meet my expenses each month. When I’m done with school, I expect that I’ll be in a better off position, as I’ll have more hours to work and more time to devote to marketing and sales.

So, yes, I am thankful. I have a nice guy I’m seeing, good friends, challenging work, and I’m healthier than this time last year. My family is nearby, and they are all as healthy and happy as their circumstances allow, too.
