After my massage client, I showered and headed to Civic Center BART to MacArthur BART to meet my buddy, Kelly <b411 user=highgranite>, for some catching up and shopping. He just returned from a two week rafting trip of the San Juan river and some property hunting up in Southern Oregon. We hit up Rubio’s in Bay St. Mall for their fish tacos, then walked next door to IKEA, where we schlepped along the arrowed path. It’s always so dreary and exhausting, but I did pick up some candles and plants and a few other small things, but that gorgeous wool area rug I carried around in the cart with me was just a bit too pricey, so I didn’t buy it, although I might next time. Sometimes restraint is a good thing
After IKEA, Kelly gave me a couple of small presents from the trip: a stack of seven stones that include all of the various layers of rock the San Juan river descends, and a couple of petroglyph decals.
Back across the bridge, and we got here to UGH, where Kelly checked his messages, then he headed out to the Lone Star, while I stayed home and looking at some catalogs, then headed to sleep.
