Went and saw Hellbent with the SF Moviebears last night at the Lumiére. It’s a funny, campy lighthearted romp through the teen slasher movie with a gay twist. It struck a few clunkers, but mostly got the jokes just right, and the gore scenes are both silly and gross! Thanks,
From there, I headed down into the Castro to try to meet Bulldog at the Glass Coffin Twin Peaks, but he wasn’t there, so I trekked over to the Edge, where there was some drag queen’s birthday party going on, then headed back up Castro walking by Daddy’s, where I got woofed at in my green gauze shirt, brown leather jeans. But, I didn’t really know anyone at any of these places, so I decided to head home.
Standing on the corner of Market and Castro was the always delightful
Steven, who was trying to flag a taxi to go to the Lone Star. I decided to share the cab with him, and we caught on back down in front of the Castro Theater.
Once at 10th and Hairrison, we walked over to the Lone Star and got in the line. It was about 45 minutes there, but we finally got inside to encounter this huge bloc of muscle “bears” taking up practically the entire inside of the bar! I had to plow through all those steroid enhanced bodies to get to the bar to order cocktails.
We got to the patio, and hung with
Drew,
Kevin,
Boofbiker, and Jeff from Elko, Nevada. That was fun, as was watching the visiting Sisters from Seattle climb up on the platform out back and give us all a naughty little dance.
Then I saw Sam, or perhaps I should say, Sam saw me, and he came on by where I was standing. Sam is a cute little guy who’s in my square dance class. We’ve been flirting with each other at class for weeks now, and I kissed him – really kissed him, not just the gay hello kiss – last Tuesday. Well, it was like a scene from a movie: our eyes met, and suddenly he was in my arms, and I lifted him up off the ground, kissing him. We talked for a little while, then he had to run off with our other classmate, Lee, for a bit.
At some point later, I was just about to leave the bar and head home when I saw Sam standing on the balcony, looking in the direction where I had been standing earlier. I came up to him, and we started kissing and cuddling, and listening to Lee prattle on about how he and Sam had been talking about me from the first night of class. They are both short, slender men, and Lee’s partner, Jens, is another big tall bearman, also in the class. I never thought that I’d have been attractive to them, but there you go.
Anyway, Sam and I closed the bar, and walked outside, where he and Lee and some other guy all got in a cab and took off for home. I started walking up 9th street toward home, too, and had to pass a trio of men who were also leaving the Lone Star. One of them asked me what my dark blue hankie meant, so I told him. The next thing I know, I’m hanging out with them, walking to the Ramada with t
hem on Market Street. It seems that Henry, a hot blond cub from San Diego, had taken a shine to me, and we decided that we should adjourn to my place to take a look at my etchings. Yeah, etchings.
