1) Do you have a favorite poet?
I have loved Maya Angelou for many years – she writes so well of personal empowerment and sexuality.
2) Where do you see your singing taking you?
Well, I have always dreamed of having an accompanist or a trio and putting together a jazz cabaret set. But to find the people who really want to do it is the challenge. Otherwise, I sing for my own pleasure.
3) How does massage work satisfy you?
Oh, goodness. I’ve written so much about my belief that it’s of critical importance to serve other people, to help others, to love others. Massage satisfies that need. Massage is tangible, intimate, immediate, active. It has helped me physically – I’ve lost a lot of weight and strengthened my body. It helps me spiritually, as giving to others reaches a deep place within my being and strokes it. It helps me financially, keeping a roof over my head. And helps me mentally, as the work gives a clarity of mind and a focus unlike anything else I’ve ever done.
4) Are you comfortable being naked?
I’m naked right now! Two summers ago, I worked at Rancho Cicada Retreat in Plymouth doing massage. In case you didn’t know, RCR is a clothing optional campground. I prefer to be naked whenever possible.
5) Quiche or hungry man breakfast?
Um, both? Quiche is a pretty hearty breakfast, but I do loves me some pancakes and over easy eggs, too.
