Later, Jeff called me and asked if I’d bring his jacket to him, so I got down to the Castro. We wandered in and out of various shops, looking at the stained glass lamps, the sarongs, dildoes, used denim, and just about everything else eclectic Castro Street has to offer. Eventually, we met up with
During the dinner, our table seemed to have become the evening’s entertainment for another table adjacent to ours. The three guys there were blatantly watching and listening in on our admittedly loudish conversation. But we were much more interesting than they were anyway, so it’s OK, tee-hee.
We ended up standing on the sidewalk in front of the place for about half an hour, continuing our conversation. Mamoosh is a school bus driver, and he drives both the long and the short buses, so he regaled us with his tales of driving the ‘tards in the bus. We were laughing so hard sometimes that we could hardly breathe! It’s always great to see when someone really loves their work.
Finally, though, it was too cold to stand there any longer, so the three of them headed off to the Lone Star, and Jeff and I came back home.
I’m burning a DVD of Solaris 10 for him that he downloaded earlier in the week right now, and from there we’ll be breakfasting down near the airport. I have to drop him off there today, as day eight is the last day of his time here in Frank-baby. Sigh. I wish I could go with him.
