Man oh man, what a fun night last night at the Trash Film Orgy‘s screening of Barbarellawas! I was lookin’ hot in my space-bear costume, consisting of my bear mask sprayed with silver hairspray and glitter, my TFO t-shirt, and some black spandex pants, black socks and shoes. I had had silver glitter fingernail polish applied to my bear-claws, and was feeling really great!
The crowd was a good sized crowd, with over 500 people there! There were tons and tons of people in costume, which made the atmosphere wonderfully festive, the lobby had some fun stuff, like the LIVE ALIEN AUTOPSY! and the BLACK HOLE, the WHEEL OF PAIN, and SPACE TRAVEL AGENCY!
While the crowd was in the lobby, partaking of the festivities, we were inside the house, scrambling to get through our final rehearsals of El Tigre Diable vs the Space Vampires!!! Man, what crazy pressurized fun! A Spacey Soap Opera with some fantastic wrestling! and many Big-boobed Space Hookers! and a Cyborg Orgamodroid that did an incredible dance number! I was pretty blown away by the complexity we packed into those few minutes of madness!
Afterward, we all headed over to Darin and Christy’s and watched the raw footage. As I keep saying last night, we should really try to package this as a TV pilot and sell it to Showtime or somesuch. It was pretty fantastic.
Didn’t get to sleep until 05:00, to the sound of the dawn’s bird chorus to lull me to sleep. Made the 12:40 train home, went shopping, got my picture taken by some nice photographer, and came home to make peach sorbet and creme brulee, and bruschetta and pasta. Well, I haven’t finished the bruschetta or pasta yet, but it’s in the works.
