So, Rick and I are really through. Two weeks ago, we moved him out of the house and into the new house. Later that week, while at a Kinko’s, he met a woman. It’s very weird and sordid, but suffice it so say, that this he has taken up with her. I got a call this past Saturday at around 0830 from him, asking me to come and pick up the last remnants of my stuff. We had some words, I hung up. About an hour later, I called him back and told him that I was coming to get me things. During the drive down there, I was fuming and thinking about all the things I wanted to say to him, but when I was there, all I could say was “I hope you enjoy your cult.”
On the other hand, I took my bicycle, which I hadn’t ridden since meeting Rick, to the shop around the corner from my house for a tune-up. I’m going to start riding again as a part of my quest for happiness and better health.
I had a great meeting with Darin and Christy, brainstorming about Trash Film Orgy’s web-site overhaul. This is the most I’ve been excited about a programming project in years. So excited, in fact, that last Monday, when I was with Rick in San Jose for his LASIK eye surgery appointment, that I went to Fry’s and bought a cheap linux box to do the development work for TFO, and whatever other freelance stuff I can scrounge up.
Also, this past Saturday, I had my orientation meeting at the California Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences, the massage school in which I enrolled. The classes start January 23, three days a week, for three hours an evening. Sometime around the beginning of April, I should be a CMT! Hooray! As a part of the training, I have to do at least 20 hours of an externship, massaging volunteers and obtaining their feedback. Any takers?
If you’ve been reading for a while, you know that I have been looking for a new direction in my life. These are the first small steps in what looks to be a new, exciting journey. Wish me luck, and let’s celebrate!
