rocks and plants

I decided that I need to start my own talent booking agency. I already have one client, and will be using them as a guinea pig to learn the trade. Fortunately, it’s a someone whom I have known a very long time, and is willing to put up with my inexperience. Wish me luck!

Rick and I went to the nursery to pick some plants and look at a bird-bath. We ended up with peach and asian pear trees, some ground covers – irish moss and blue fescue – and this lovely bird-bath.

We got home and had to move this large rock that the pool excavator left in an unfortunate location in our side yard. It had been in the original landscaping the previous owner had installed, but when we decided to put in the swimming pool, it had to be moved from its location to somewhere out of the way for the dig. This time last year we were just about to the the dig, and we were very excited. Well, the rock weighs somewhere around 250 pounds, and decided to be difficult. I moved it from its resting place onto a furniture dolly, rolled it into an approximate position, and then, wham! into position. Wham! the back! Wham! the neck! Ah! the hot tub.
